Reacton & Tata Steel: A Partnership Forged in Fire Safety

We're proud to announce a game-changing collaboration with Tata Steel, one of the globe's steel production giants. ICPS Engineering PVT. Ltd., our dedicated fire distribution partner in India, worked with Tata Steel on upgrading their fire suppression systems, after operational downtime due to fire incidents in their mobile equipment.

Despite embracing fire suppression strategies, Tata Steel's existing systems failed to deliver reliable results. Enter Reacton's state-of-the-art automatic fire suppression systems.

ICPS took on the challenge, installing Reacton’s proven solutions on key equipment like the CAT-973 Loader, Gradall Metal Mill, Hitachi Zaxis-450, and TML Ripper, all under the expert guidance of our Technical Support Manager, Gary Warman who was present at the factory to delivery on hand support and training.

The installations were seamless, thanks to the teamwork between ICPS engineers and Tata Steel personnel. Comprehensive training followed, empowering Tata Steel representatives with the knowledge to maintain these systems effectively, and gave them the knowledge of how to act if there was a system discharge.

The results?

Dual Agent systems are an outstanding fire suppression method due to the combined benefits of dry powder and wet chemical in one solution. Using both wet and dry agents reduces the chances of the fire reigniting after discharge. Not only can the system provide rapid-fire knockdown and excellent coverage with the dry powder, but with the cooling properties of wet chemicals, the system is economical and efficient. Our Dual Agent system is performance and durability accredited to RI:SE P-Mark SPCR 199.
